This photo is not a "fake" : due to the presence of microorganisms, the water of this lake really is red ! In fact, it appears even more red than the flamingos ! It is located in the area of the "Lagunas Coloradas" (Colored Lakes)...
The white parts are not made of ice but of salt. Believe me, it's really an amazing place to be. But one thing that cannot be shown on any photo is how deadly cold the wind was...
