Still in Bolivia but away from the big city and back in the Andes ! This photo was taken very near to the southwest border with Chile.
At an altitude of around 5000m, surrounded by sand, some giant rocks and under a perfect dark blue sky, I was struck by how much this landscape looked liked "Arrakis", the sand planet depicted in the novel "Dune" by Franck Herbert.
